Woorim’s owners are the QROA owners of the month for October - congratulations to Ross and Judy Cutts who own and race Woorim. The 6YO son of Show A Heart is trained by Robert Heathcote. This talented galloper won the Group 3 Cath Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on Saturday 29 October after unleashing an outstanding finishing burst to beat Thankgodyou’rehere by 2 lengths with another son of Show A Heart, Toorak Toff, motoring home into 3rd . Woorim was ridden from an outside barrier by Michael Rodd and the outstanding effort prompted Robert Heathcote to describe the horse as one of the “most exciting horses in the country”.
Woorim, who is by Queensland’s Champion Sire Show of Heart, is raced in the same interests as his sire – whom the Cutts family also bred and raced. Show A Heart stands at Glenlogan Park and has been a real revelation since being retired to the breeding barn. His impressive list of stakes winners is headed by Heart of Dreams, Toorak Toff, Mimi Lebrock, Heart of the Citi, Crossyourheart, Gottahaveheart and Fifteen Carat just to name a few. He has been Queensland’s leading sire for the past 3 years and has already set up a big lead in the current season.
The G3 victory by Woorim took his earnings soaring above the three quarter of one million mark and there is little question he will continue to provide his owners with many thrills for the next few years.
