Queensland Bookmakers

The number  of bookmakers in the betting ring in Brisbane has noticeably dwindled with several former prominent bookmakers leaving the field due to rising costs. On field bookmakers believe they are being over charged as they pay both a .33% turnover tax and a stand fee to the clubs and as well, are taxed between 10% and 15% of their monthly  profit under the  Racing Queensland Ltd race fields policy.
