Country Corner (Summer 09)
01-Dec-2009:

The 2010 Capricorn Yearling Sale held at Rockhampton is set down for Sunday 11th April.

It promises a fresh new approach built on past years of strong support frombuyers and vendors alike.

The Central Queensland Breeders Association has taken control of their event and has appointed the well credentialed Adrienne McCosker as their General Manager and Sales Coordinator along with the well respected and highly regarded Adrian Hancock of Hancock Quality Bloodstock as the auctioneer.

The sale will be exclusivelyfor QTIS registered horses and all yearlings sold will definitely be eligible for QTIS 600 registration.

Response from vendors is reported as being excellent to date and a strong catalogue is expected. The sale also offers graduates the opportunityto compete in the exclusive 2YO Capricorn Sales Classic worth $150,000 in prizemoney with a 3YO race commencing from 2011.

This sale is a great opportunityfor the canny buyer to snap up a bargain with this year’s 2YO race winner,Arcup, purchased for a mere $5,000. Recent sensational Gold Coast winner,Alesprit (pictured above),is also a sale graduate.
